Biography

Krishna Nair is a passionate Quality Improvement Lead and clinician at Locala Health and Wellbeing, with a wealth of experience in senior management and a specialisation in Psychology with a focus on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. As an NMC accredited HEI Lecturer and certified facilitator, Krishna brings a deep commitment to patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and risk assessment. He serves in the mandatory role of Clinical Safety Officer and the Chief Clinical Information Officer role.

Throughout his career, Krishna has successfully led a variety of projects that leveraged his extensive clinical and service improvement expertise. He has adeptly managed complex programmes of work, engaging a diverse array of stakeholders and key care partners. Notably, between 2009 and 2013, Krishna directed several programmes focused on Quality Improvement and Safer Care initiatives, including the 15Steps Quality Challenge and projects aimed at enhancing Dignity and Respect in care across the north of England. His efforts culminated in the delivery of numerous QIPP (Quality, Innovation, Productivity, and Prevention) projects, resulting in significant enhancements in quality and patient experience. By integrating these initiatives through a unified lean approach, Krishna ensured the achievement of consistent and sustainable outcomes in Quality and Improvement. His outstanding contributions were recognised in 2013 when he was honoured with 'The Lean Champion of the Year' award at the Lean Healthcare Academy Award event.

From 2013 to 2016, Krishna lent his expertise as a QI expert to NHS Commissioning, providing vital knowledge and advice on Lean Transformation, health services improvement, quality, and innovation in healthcare to the NHS Yorkshire and Humber Commissioning Support and Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs). His innovative leadership in the development of a tool for General Practitioners and NHS Commissioners, aimed at identifying and improving or discontinuing services that do not add value to patients, earned him the 'Medipex NHS Innovation Award' in 2015. Krishna's journey continued at the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he served as the Head of Assurance and Clinical Effectiveness from 2016 to 2019.

In addition to his professional achievements, Krishna is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Practitioner and boasts a robust academic background, holding a Master's in Advanced Practice and MSc in Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching, and a Postgraduate Certificate in CBT.
