The NHS Long Term Plan (LTP) calls ford Service re-design a number of times. A literature search on NHS Service Design did not produce a lot of guidance on how this could be achieved. The LTP hints that this will be achieved via QI activity.
With current work pressures and rapid advances in the availability of innovative digital solutions, let alone the advances being made in AI applications, I’m not sure that QIs will achieve the LTP aims for Service re-design.
So what are the alternatives? This SIG aims to investigate, and maybe even test, options.
