Hi everyone, I have a query about how can we bring people together to explore ideas using a virtual space such as Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams etc?
Bringing large groups of people together face-to-face is not going to be feasible, yet it will be necessary to harness the power of diversity in groups to recover healthcare services over the coming months…Read more

Hi Tim
The “Happy” people are running a Liberating Structures Online Immersion Workshop, so there are still some places left (including a few free NHS ones – use code NHSLS20). Book here.
I joined the last one, it was brilliant
-
Thanks Cleo, I’ll check it out – was there much on using LS in a virtual setting?

Hi Tim
I also joined the Happy event on LS and yes, you have a go at using the techniques in the virtual world. You basically learn by experiencing it! Take a look.
Best Regards

Yes-all of it

hi Tim,
we’ve been doing loads of workshops and things virtually. happy to talk you through some of the things we have tried including using LS. dimple.keen@rcplondon.ac.uk if you want to arrange a chat – i’ve got some time later this afternoon -
Hi Tim,
I raised a similar question on this group about a week ago. I’m undertaking with my NI team of medicines safety pharmacists a virtual team review and planning exercise next week. So in preparation for that I’ve reviewed the LS techniques and also Q design cards for ideas on what might suit our needs and could work virtually. As Zoom seems…Read more -
Hi! Just a quick reply as I’m short on time but definitely check out the happy event in June. I’m also offering support for people on this topic via Hexitime https://hexitime.com/. @matthewmezey maybe Q could do a virtual. LS workshop – I’d be happy to help!
-
Forgot to add also check out the LS slack group #virtual channel!

Hi Tim, there is a Q zoom on Friday connecting improvers looking at working with virtual spaces and how we can deliver training effectively in this new way. You can register here https://q.health.org.uk/event/connecting-improvers/

Hi Tim, there’s some really good tips on using Liberating Structures digitally, on the #virtual channel of the LS Slack group. I think this is the access link https://www.liberatingstructureslondon.org.uk/slack/?mc_cid=66a946e948&mc_eid=01ffb806d7
I’ve been co-facilitating fortnightly LS workshops for people working in local democracy roles, and…Read more

Hi all,
It would be great to hear from you all whether you have an appetite for a regular user group session for this group – ie a safe place for us to try out new Liberating Structures, new ways to use Zoom etc.
I’m talking with @neildunford who’s keen to get something like this going.
We could make things like ‘Best use of Zoom you’ve seen…Read more

yes Matthew, this would be a big help. We definitely need to understand more about the various ways of undertaking virtual workshops and use of LS.
thanks -
Hi @lindseydarley – I’ll let everyone know what emerges from conversations with @neildunford about organising this for our group here.
One thought was to try out together how the ‘Open Space’ Liberating Structure might work online – a slightly more challenging one than others to move into the virtual world perhaps…? But would be great to see if…Read more

Hi Matthew, I’d be keen too.

I’d love to get involved in a group trying to maxiise the potential of LS in a virtual environment. We’re looking to restart our training/development provision and this seems to offer an exciting way forward.
-
Thank you all for your responses. All incredibly helpful and reaffirms my belief in the power of the network!
Seems like there’s a lot of appetite to develop ways to translate our skills into a virtual world.
