Readjusting energy levels: ‘The Battery exercise’ – a staff wellbeing learning session

Are you interested in learning about some simple tools which can help support staff wellbeing and self-care? This interactive session offered a safe space to be introduced to ‘The Battery Dude’ and ‘The Battery exercise’.

With more demands on our time it matters more than ever that we find ways which are most effective to meet our needs. Assessing your energy, being mindful of how you spend it and where you top it up again is so important.

This interactive session offered a safe space to be introduced to ‘The Battery Dude’ and ‘The Battery exercise’. The aim was for attendees to be able to take learnings away with them and share with peers to help promote staff wellbeing. The session covered:

  • How are your energy levels right now
  • Where do you spend your energy and can changes be made
  • How do you top your energy back up, and can changes be made
  • Tips for having more energy
  • A personal promise card

While we work in different settings, we may find we are facing similar challenges and that a range of ideas can be helpful in whatever quality improvement goals we or our organisations are pursuing at present.
