Nursing community: managing energy and emotions

How Capacitar practices can help nurses' wellbeing directly.

14 Nov 2023
12:00 – 12:50

The Staff wellbeing Special Interest Group is delighted to invite Clare Cable, Chief Executive of QNIS Scotland and Nancy Adams, Trainer, and Communications Coordinator for Capacitar Scotland and Capacitar Europe to this session. They’ll be sharing their experiences of introducing the self-healing power of Capacitar practices to community nurses and nurses in the social care sector during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Capacitar is a program in multi-cultural wellness education which uses simple and accessible wellness energy practices. It empowers the ‘instinct to heal’ in ourselves and serves as valuable tools to help us acknowledge, heal, and transform the stress, anxiety, exhaustion, trauma, and violence in our lives.

Particularly during these past few years of the collective trauma of the pandemic, the healing power of these practices have reached thousands of people in the 45 countries within which Capacitar has connections. You can find examples of some of the Capacitar practices on the QNIS wellbeing page.

This session offers a wonderful opportunity to hear about some of these practices and also to hear some of the feedback from some of nurses who have undergone the training.

This call is organised by the Staff Wellbeing Special Interest Group.
