• How can we support our health and care workforce to implement great innovations that will improve care?
• What skills do different staff need to get great ideas adopted in different health and care settings?
• Join our Rapid Insight Event and share your insights and ideas!
Proven innovation improves services and health outcomes. Evidence indicates that staff working in health, social and voluntary care would welcome support with adopting innovations. Staff have said that they:
• are ready to embrace innovation but feel unsure about the process
• can’t find high-quality information about innovation adoption that’s relevant to them
• are concerned that they need specific skills.

This event will bring colleagues together from across the system, including those who have been involved in this topic previously and those who are new to it, to shape a new education programme that will support colleagues in adopting innovation. The Rapid Insight approach is interactive and gathers lots of information from wide-ranging stakeholders in a fast-paced one-hour session using the Microsoft Teams platform (alternative engagement is also available to ensure the process is accessible).

The programme is being developed by NHS England’s Innovation, Research and Life Sciences (IRLS) team and Health Education England, working in partnership with Wessex Academic Health Science Network and other partners. We aim to develop a national programme to grow a culture of innovation across the health, social care and voluntary workforce. Getting the right innovations adopted will transform lives and care, for patients, families and our health and social care workforce.
Your insights will inform the development of specialist training materials and innovation adoption support.
We really hope you will be able to join us. We are running the same session on two separate dates, to give you options to attend
