About the session
In recent years many healthcare organisations have introduced the QI coach role, recognising the value of distributing improvement capability and capacity at a more local level. In this workshop, hosted by the Coaching Improvement Special Interest Group, we explored what we mean by QI coaching, including some helpful examples from organisations who have a tried-and-tested approach. We also looked at how QI coaching relates to other supportive approaches including mentoring and executive coaching.
The session was convened by:
- Sophia Mody, Continuous Quality Improvement Lead at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust
- Kerry Blewitt, Head of QI at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
- Sid Beech, Associate Director at NHS Elect
