Dr Tom Foley, A Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in the HSE, He is also the Principal Investigator on the Health Foundation Funded, Learning Healthcare Project at Newcastle University. Until 2020, he was Senior Clinical Lead for Data at NHS Digital, where he had clinical responsibility for the English national data collections.

Before moving home, Tom worked with NHS England, NHSX, Health Education England, the Care Quality Commission and the General Medical Council. He contributed to many of the recent English Health IT strategies and has conducted policy reviews for various organisations.

Prior to training in Medicine, Tom was a Management Consultant with PwC in Belfast. He is passionate about the sociotechnical challenges to realising the potential of Learning Health Systems.

The HSE National QPS Directorate, in Ireland, provides a regular lunch time one hour webinar series focusing on quality safety and improvement. Running approximately every two weeks (in term time).
