09:30 – 12:00

All health care systems and providers in England are working on the shared challenges of managing demand and tackling equity gaps.

But what role can quality improvement play?

East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) provides mental health, primary care and community health services to approximately two million people across Bedfordshire, Luton and East London. The Trust has been applying quality improvement to all areas of its operations for ten years, and has been rated outstanding by CQC three consecutive times.

Why ELFT?

ELFT is an exceptional example of quality improvement in action, and has won multiple awards for this work, including Quality Team of the Year at the International Quality Awards in 2022.

Quality improvement is used across all parts of the trust. Some of their most recent work has explored how quality improvement can be used to tackle equity issues.
