Innovation Agency Core Scouts event

Innovation Scouts encourage a culture of innovation within their organisations and proactively promote and encourage adoption of evidence-based innovations.

15 Dec 2016

West Derby

Alder Hey Innovation Hub

The Innovation Agency has a crucial role in the spread and adoption of innovation across the region but we can’t do it alone! We are here to create a movement which is inclusive of all the NHS and Academic institutes with key industry partners.

The Innovation Scouts Programme has been specifically designed to offer our NHS Partners an opportunity for a senior manager/leader to work with other like-minded individuals across the region to understand the challenges and cultural implications needed to increase the adoption of innovative practices/technologies or treatments. Having a named individual in every NHS organisation will help us collectively provide a consistent and collaborative approach to delivering key innovations and service improvements across the NWC region.

The role of an Innovation Scout is to encourage a culture of innovation within their organisations and to proactively promote and encourage adoption of evidence-based innovations, integrating it as a core process and embedding in staff behaviours.

Whilst there is no remuneration for undertaking the role there is a comprehensive support package which includes workshops, bespoke support, coaching and training. The supporting organisation has already made a commitment to being part of the AHSN and to support their named Innovation Scout to bring the benefits of being part of the programme back into their organisation.

This event is open to Innovation scouts/local Q members.
