QMS: ‘Designing for people – quality planning using human learning systems and person- centred design’

The first webinar in our new series on Quality Management Systems. We expanded our understanding of 'quality planning' to consider the role human learning systems can play in developing services which are designed around people.

18 Nov 2022
13:00 – 14:30

Zoom

In this webinar, we looked more deeply into the ‘Quality Planning’ part of Juran’s trilogy and how different approaches can be taken to understanding and planning for the needs of your population. We heard from Diana Hekerem & Chris Sutton of Healthcare Improvement Scotland and from Professor Toby Lowe of the Centre for Public Impact.

During the session we explored:

-The principles and mechanisms of human learning systems as they relate to the ‘quality planning’ element of quality management
– Different organisations’ challenges to apply and consider their own organisation’s practice against these levels
– How complexity affects definitions of quality and assessment of system ‘outcomes’
