Confed17

Hosted by NHS Confederation and just one week after the General Election, Confed17 brings together health and social care leaders to hear the detail behind the new government's plans for the NHS, and to debate what it means in practice.

Together with the Health Foundation, Q will be exhibiting.

Much of what Confed is about is the networking and connections to be made among senior leaders within the sector. Q members and colleagues are warmly invited to use the space at our stand to hold meetings and discussions. Along with good quality coffee, there will be plenty of tables and chairs. Some of the Q team will be attending and will be at the stand – including Penny Pereira (Project Director of Q and Deputy Director of Improvement), Stacey Lally (Head of Q Delivery) and Tracy Webb (Head of Q Labs).

The Health Foundation and Q will also be presenting several workshops and presentations.

  • On Wednesday 14 June at 12noon Penny, Tracy and Suzie Bailey (Director of Leadership and Quality Improvement at NHS Improvement) will be delivering a workshop entitled ‘Under pressure: Making change happen in today’s NHS’ . The session will explore how organisations and individuals can continuously learn and improve as part of a wider health care system.
  • In the evening of 14 June, Penny together with Bryan Jones (Health Foundation Improvement Fellow) and John Dean are hosting a fringe session called ‘Pulling out all the stops: How a focus on whole system flow can help to deliver improved quality, efficiency and patient experience’.
  • On Thursday 15 June Anita Charlesworth (Health Foundation’s Chief Economist), along with Caroline Corrigan, Paul Jenkins and Alastair Henderson are facilitating a break out session on ‘Counting The People – How can the NHS make the most of its workforce and support them to be more productive?’

More information about the session and information about tickets can be found on the Confed17 website. If you are attending Confed – let us know and we can look to arrange an opportunity to bring members together over the two days.
