As part of our Community Space workshop series, we’re offering some sessions for Q members to help you learn how to sketchnote!
This first session on Friday 13 August covered the basics of sketchnoting, run by Tanmay Vora.
This will be followed by a workshop on Friday 10 September to help you put your learning into practice.
You will learn:
- The fundamentals of sketchnoting
- How to express ideas and concepts in form of simple visuals
- How to sketch basic objects, people, hands, facial expressions
- How to develop visual metaphors of abstract concepts and ideas
- Understand visual structure for impactful visual communication
- Applying visual thinking into your day-to -day work (contextual application)
To join the sessions you’ll need:
- a notepad/sketchpad with blank pages
- Felt Tip pens of different sizes (for example: 0.4, 0.5, 1.0, Signature pens, highlighters, Brush pens)
You’ll be encouraged to share your creations on twitter if you’re comfortable, using #QCommunitySpace.
The sketchnoting sessions will also enable you to connect with other members, share stories and process your experiences visually using sketchnoting tools.
Each week Tanmay will share a challenge on twitter for practice between the two workshops.
Look out for the challenges appearing on #QCommunitySpace:
- Friday 20 August
- Friday 27 August
