Biography
Spela supports the Q team through insight and evaluation.
Spela has a decade of experience in social research and evaluation. Before joining the Health Foundation, she worked as Senior Research Fellow at the University College London, leading research-practice partnerships to improve equitable practice in education. Before that, she worked as a Research Associate at King’s College London, where she completed her PhD in Education Research.
She has also worked as an independent evaluator within education and cultural sectors, and advised funders, policymakers and learning organisations about equity and inclusion. Prior to her work in social research and evaluation, Spela qualified as a pharmacist and worked in community health care, regulatory affairs, and medical writing.
