Biography
Rachel Trask, is the Improvement Lead within ABCi, a unique multidisciplinary team with expertise in improvement science, mathematical modelling, psychology, clinical, leadership and communications. Rachel has over 25 years’ eclectic experience within the NHS, for the last fifteen focussing on improving patient safety and care provision. As an Improvement Advisor and Executive Coach/Mentor Rachel has a keen interest in developing and activating distributed capability for quality improvement, most recently as junior faculty for IHI training, also in developing advanced programmes to develop improvement coach and measurement lead skills embedded into collaboratives focussing on improving flow, pressure damage and outpatient services.

A Human Factors Approach to Building Safety Culture across boundaries
We aim to build a positive Safety Culture across the boundary between theatres and wards by amalgamating Human Factors approaches with regular Simulation of risk/team discussion and Quality Improvement.
Psychology 4 Improvement
The people aspect of change, at times called the 'soft' side of improvement, is often the hardest part! We want to engage & bring people together to spread knowledge of the psychology of improvement.
