Sorry folks, I’ve been making so many typos these days that I’m thinking about going to the doctor about it 😬 I don’t know what’s up.
Alas, with no edit button, I can only fix this by reposting – and I’m choosing here not to bombard your notifications. Hope that’s ok. Sorry again for the typo.

I thought the little exercise with the square of paper was really good. Rather like Deming’s Red Bead experiment it demonstrated the problems with a poorly designed process. It also demonstrated that ‘Output’ measures are ‘shutting the door after the horse has bolted’. In order the identify error early enough the ‘in process’ measures are…Read more

Hi All,
Not sure where the best place is to ask this question, but thought I’d try in here first 🙂
I’m a Senior Improvement Advisor at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS FT and have completed the IHI Improvement Advisor Professional Development programme in July 2022. I am now considering completing a masters course and wondered what type of…Read more

Amazing thanks Thomas 🙂

If you are looking for a course that is acceptable for quality management outside of the NHS I strongly recommend the CQI accredited courses. Also, of course, most useful inside the NHS as well. The CQI also have their own membership examinations and courses as an alternative to a degree.

Buckingham offer a Lean masters – they’ll be taking on a new cohort in September.
