I am a proud Learning Disability Nurse and a firm believer in Carl Roger's core concept of unconditional positive regard and try to embody this within my every day connections.

Though not currently practicing clinically, I worked for more than 12 years as a Community Nurse in a busy  integrated health and social care team; as a Specialist Nurse in Primary Care and as a Liaison Nurse within large Acute hospitals. I later moved into senior Clinical Governance and Clinical Effectiveness roles, working within mental health, forensic and community healthcare services but I am currently working as a Senior Improvement Lead with Health Innovation East Midlands, supporting the national Maternity and Neonatal Safety improvement Programme.

I have a special interest in health inequalities, reasonable adjustments, evidence based practice and supporting a culture of compassion and openness.
