Adeline is a HCPC Registered Physiotherapist with a Masters in Science (Orthopaedic Medicine) and a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy). She started her career as a physiotherapist working in acute and community hospitals in Singapore and Scotland. Her QI journey started as a Quality Improvement Facilitator with the NHS Lothian QI Support Team. She completed the IHI Open School’s Basic Certificate in Quality and Safety​ Course and NHS Education for Scotland (NES) Scottish Improvement Foundation Skills (SIFS)Course. These courses built on her existing knowledge of improvement science to increase her confidence coaching frontline staff. She is now currently undertaking the Scottish Improvement Leader Programme (ScIL) cohort 17 with NES to further develop her skills in QI. She had worked in Adverse Event, Primary Care and now in Acute Care at Western General Hospital (WGH), Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. She works closely with clinical teams in WGH to support the delivery of the key Patient Safety essentials as set out within the Scottish Patient Safety Programme. She is tasked with building capacity and capability for QI, primarily within the framework of the Scottish Patient Safety Programme in Acute Care. She also provides support and coaching to clinical teams in WGH.
