Hi Elizabeth. In my Trust, we have just started formally exploring aspects of sustainability. I have a number of ideas however for introducing ‘carbon accounts’ alongside our existing financial and quality accounts but at present, this is just a concept. I certainly can see the benefit of routinely exploring the impact of any new proposal including QI work and this should in time be routinely assessed as Equality and Diversity is now. Hi Elizabeth, at the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare we are in discussion currently with a handful of Trusts who are looking for support in integrating sustainability across their quality improvement work. I think North Bristol Trust has got the furthest with this so far but hopefully soon to be joined by others!
