What is the challenge your project is going to address and how does it connect to the theme of 'How can we improve across system boundaries?

Procedural document alignment is required to support standardise practices, to ensure consistency and quality across the acute healthcare provision in Norfolk.  Challenges will be to bring three different Trusts together on scale and at pace to agree and implement policy, standard operating procedures, protocols and clinical and non-clinical guidelines. With differing digital systems and workforce arrangements and resource that sovereign organisations have dictate that this is a wicked problem.

What does your project aim to achieve?

Development of a unified Procedural Document Development Policy and template has provided the foundation for what procedural documents will look like. By drawing on similarities and reducing the differences for example definitions for approval and ratification and providing a platform for collaborators to come together virtually will breakdown the barrier of distance.  By promoting the use of National/ Regional/County guidance variation will be reduced with the aim to provide the consistent and standardised level of care.
