Do we always recognise when we are involved in, or party to a decision or situation in which there is an ethical dimension? Tom Bell – Author of ‘Lions, Liars, Donkeys and Penguins – The Killing of Alison’ will help explore wilful blindness and ethical fading in health and care services. The story of Alison Bell, and her family’s uncovering of the truth about what happened to her in the care of an NHS Trust will be touched on by her brother Tom. He will describe the challenges of the various investigations into Alison’s death and the prevailing cultures within the public sector organisations they have dealt with; the NHS, Police, CPS and Regulatory Bodies.
