Learn more about the psychology of storytelling, and how stories can create an emotional scaffold to support learning and improvement.

You’ll hear from Lesley Goodburn, Head of Public Involvement and Engagement at National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE), and Brin Hodgkiss. They will also share their work with professional networks covering experience of care and programme management and how storytelling has leverage change.

About the series

This is the first session in our new series, led by the Power of Storytelling Special Interest Group. The impact of storytelling in health explores the overall impact of storytelling in health and care, covering how storytelling can be used to influence policy, different methods of telling stories and the link between stories and quantitative and qualitative data. Join us to learn more about how stories can be used as an improvement methodology and how they promote understanding, learning and empathy.
