As you may know, in 2020, the NHS adopted a multi-year plan to become the world’s first carbon net zero national health system. To support these efforts a group of us from the Q primary care and Q Sustainability special interest groups have been working on tools and resources to improve asthma care and simultaneously reduce the carbon footprint associated with suboptimal inhaler prescribing and inhaler use.
This event gave a preview of the work we are doing and attendees shared their thoughts and gave us feedback. In the session we were particularly looking for feedback regarding how these tools can be used in practice, how user-friendly they are, and how best to disseminate the QI tools to nurses, pharmacists, GPs and practice managers who will be leading this work across practices and primary care networks.
