Making Changes Locally, Contributing Nationally – Exploring Research And Innovation In Community Hospitals with Dr Christine Burt – PhD, M MedSci, BSc, Director of Research and Innovation, Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

Dr Christine Burt will talk about her role as Director of Research and Innovation. She will share some of the innovations in community hospitals during the pandemic, and the system impact of embedding improvements in quality and safety. Christine will talk about the local community hospitals data contributing to national studies. Christine will also talk about a new collaboration, the Community Healthcare Alliance of Research Trusts (CHART) – follow on twitter @CommunityHART.

Christine talks about how agile the Trust has been with regard to making changes. “It’s about us as the Community Trust stepping up and getting involved, and external stakeholders recognising our role.”
