Hexitime skills timebank: how you can benefit – and help it to grow (Zoom video call, 1pm)

John Lodge and Hesham Abdalla co-developed Hexitime, the most popular project in the Q Exchange crowd-vote. They will share how Hexitime works, the impact it’s already having and how you can benefit from the skills offered – and help the timebank itself to grow and spread, helping improvers all around the UK.

2 May 2019

Zoom video call - online/phone (all welcome) *1pm*

John Lodge and Hesham Abdalla’s Hexitime – ‘The Healthcare Skill Exchange Timebank’ – was the runaway winner in last year’s Q Exchange crowd-voting process.

They will share how the site works – how you can offer skills and make requests for the skills you need, and highlight examples of exchanges that have already taken place on the newly-launched site, and the impact these are having.

** Register here for the Zoom video call (to receive your personal login info): https://zoom.us/meeting/register/34f4daebbb7f0c23dc2040ba88984b7b **

Benefits of using the Hexitime timebank include:

  • Catalysing connection in your local QI community
  • Discovering hidden skills and interests in your locality
  • Spreading ideas and innovation organically
  • Increasing joy at work for gifting expertise and being appreciated for it

John and Hesham invite you to become an ‘ambassador’ for the site, and help to encourage more of the skills exchanges that will benefit improvers in your networks and your region. They will share how to run an enjoyable ‘Hexithon’ with any group of improvers – making visible people’s (often hidden) skills and needs, and how to add them to the site.

This Zoom video call is organised for Q’s Connectors network, but is open to anyone who would like to find out more about – and get involved with – this pioneering timebank, thought to be the first nationwide one for the NHS.
