Biography
Sinéad is an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) specialist who joined UCC’s School of Public Health in 2021 as a Lecturer. Sinead is the Academic Programme Director of the PG Certificate in IPC and also teaches on the MSc in IPC as well as teaching Health Protection at UCC. She is the module coordinator and lecturer in a Quality Improvement and Patient Safety in Infection Prevention & Control module.

- Global pandemics and outbreak management
- Leadership, Behaviour & Management in Infection Prevention & Control
- Compassionate Leadership in the workplace
- Positive organisational leadership in healthcare
- Positive Psychology Interventions (PPIs), support and resilience for frontline staff
Sinéad held the post of Infection Prevention & Control Clinical Nurse Specialist with the HSE during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she was also instrumental in coordinating the Peer Vaccination Programmes for both Influenza and Covid19.
Sinéad is also a practicing psychological coach and is aligned to the Global Code of Ethics for Coaches, Mentors and Supervisors, and is a member of the Association for Coaching (AC). She specialises in coaching and debriefing frontline healthcare workers after crises at work.
