I began my career in the private sector, working for a London-based software house, where I was given the job of establishing the company’s first outsourced subsidiary, in Kenya alongside managing the finance and IT projects. After 2 insightful years and having always wanted to ‘make a difference’, I left the office with a view in Canary Wharf to focus my efforts on improving people’s quality of life through the voluntary and community services.
For almost 7 years I have worked for several charitable organisations developing my understanding of quality improvement, partnership working and co-production within health and social care fields; learning how to innovate (it is not as easy as it may sound!) and honing my solution-focussed approaches.
In 2016, I joined Healthwatch Enfield to build on my passion and commitment to quality improvement through co-production. To take that further, in 2019 I have started my adventure with the NHS where the scope for improvements is signifcant.
