Biography

Dr Osama Naji is an obstetrician and gynaecologist working in central London and a researcher at Imperial College London, his clinical interests include subfertility, reproductive medicine, and global health. He cares passionately about evidence-based medicine, health economics and is an advocate for the better understanding of the challenges facing global health. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Baghdad University, Iraq, and in the UK he worked in various specialties across the country. During his postgraduate training, he obtained his membership of the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. He also holds a Diploma in Family Planning. Previously, he was also a Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College London, where he conducted postgraduate clinical research in early pregnancy and reproductive medicine and obtained his postgraduate Doctorate of Medicine (MD) under the supervision of Professor Tom Bourne. Working within teams of researchers based all over the world he has published over 25 research papers and presented at many national and international conferences, and won awards for teaching, and research.
