Biography
I graduated as the Valedictorian of my Medical school class of 2017 with 19 Awards including 6 Distinctions including one in Paediatrics, a College Gold medal & a University Bronze Medal. Soon after I completed my Internship on a 3 month rotational basis in Paediatrics, General Medicine, Ophthalmic Surgery & General Surgery.
After that I got my first job as a Medical officer in the ICU in a tertiary care teaching hospital where I learnt about Leadership, Management & Administration. Soon after I got onto the MD Emergency Medicine University Residency Program at Holy Family Hospital/Rawalpindi Medical University where I first learnt about the existence of Clinical Audit through the RCEM UK Emergency Medicine Foundation Program. During my time there, I established a culture of performing Clinical Audits & Quality Improvement Projects to promote Patient Safety and increase the effectiveness of the Departments day to day operations. I completed my Membership of the College of Anaesthesiologists (MCAI) in 2022.'
I'm currently pursuing a Postgraduate Certification in Clinical Research from BMJ in collaboration with University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
I have presented QIP, Audit & Case Report Abstracts orally as well as in the form of posters at International Conferences in Ireland viz CAI Annual Congress of Anaesthesiology, Irish Association of Emergency Medicine & Irish Paediatric Emergency Medicine as well as the UK viz Emergency Medicine Trainee Association & Scottish EM Clinical Conference . My Abstract presentations from 2021 to date include:
1- Blood sampling practices by Nurses in an Emergency Department of a Tertiary Care Hospital.
2- Hand Hygiene practices among healthcare workers in an Emergency Department of a Tertiary Care Hospital.
3- Time to ECG of Patients presenting with Chest Pain in an Emergency Department of a Tertiary Care Hospital.
4- Safe Procedural Sedation in the ED; A Quality Improvement Initiative
5-High Pervasiveness of multiple drug resistance amongst Escherichia Coli Infection in Pediatric patients Presenting to a Tertiary Care Teaching Hospital Emergency Department in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
6-Diarrhea & Dehydration prevention practices & factors of Morbidity & Mortality in Children Under Five in Murree, District Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
7- A Comparative Study Of Systolic And Diastolic Blood Pressure Of Healthy People With Diverse Bmi Ranges In An Emergency Department Of A Tertiary Care Teaching Hospital, Rawalpindi, Pakistan
8- Multidisciplinary Care for Optimization of Management of an Obstetric patient with Idiopathic Subglottic Stenosis.
