Biography

From completing her Degree to her first job with the Alzheimer’s Disease Society, the Health and Social Care Sector has offered Kath a rich career combined with voluntary overseas work.

With an MSc in Health and Social Care Leadership, Kath has led service user involvement work for Mental Health Services in Leeds, set up the Patient and Advice and Liaison Service (PALS), Lectured at SGS College in Health and Social Care. Currently with NHS England, she leads the South West Palliative and End of Life Strategic Clinical Network as part of Integrated Personalised Care.

Kath has been involved in Charity Management Committees for many years starting with MIND in Leeds in 1996.  Her interest and passion about mental health as part of social movement for change and ‘what matters to you’ is a driver to influence positive change.  Kath served for nine years as Trustee with Gloucestershire Counselling Service, for the last 18 months as Chair.
