Biography

Currently employed as an Innovation Programme Manager for the Industry and Technology Navigation team at Kent Surrey & Sussex Academic Health Network which leads on engagement with health technology companies and their networks across all technology sectors. My academic background includes Doctoral research which combined music therapy with neuroscience methods to support the assessment of awareness in severe disorders of consciousness, and I also hold a Masters in Palliative Care from Kings College London and postgraduate diploma in Music Therapy from Bristol University. Previously I have programme managed NIHR funded research in mental health, and the development of virtual wards for both Surrey Downs Health Care and the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust. Having worked across the NHS, academia, social enterprises and the voluntary sector, I understand from all sides the challenges innovators face engaging with these complex systems, and how best to develop value propositions that engage decision makers.
