Some Questions for discussion

1. What would a QMS for say a Trust look like?
2. Should it be established Department by Department or other divisions? How are Trusts managed financially? A similar division may be a good idea.
3. Where to make a start? I think, once the division is defined, then a process approach should be adopted with a good non-conformance reporting system (ncr) in place.
4. Should the CQC be responsible for external audit.
5. Should the QMS be designed around the standard BS EN 15224:2016 Quality management systems – EN ISO 9001:2015 for healthcare? I think so.
6. The difference between Service Improvement and Quality Management must be understood.
7. Service design and NICE Guidance, and other standards, will play an important part of the QMS.
