Hi all,
Yesterday we published the first outputs from our work together exploring how care can be improved for people living with both mental health and persistent back and neck pain. There are two essays that capture learning and insights from our work so far:
– The first essay outlines how the Q Lab and Mind came to focus on mental health and persistent back and neck pain, and why it is a topic that warrants attention. (9 minute read)
– The second essay outlines the challenges and opportunities, combining research and evidence with the experiences of people living with both conditions, and outlining five specific opportunities for improving care. (19 minute read)
A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed. Although the Lab team have written these essays, they are the culmination of what Lab participants have shared with us – at workshops, in surveys and in interviews – over the last 5-6 months.
We really hope you enjoy reading the essays and please let us know of if you have any feedback. Please do help us share them widely, either on social media (using #QLabs so we can retweet) or with your wider networks.
If you’d like a more synthesised and visual version of the essays, there is also a PowerPoint summary available to download, which I’ll link below.
If you have any questions or feedback, please get in touch.
Best wishes,
