Biography

Tori Ford is an award-winning researcher, educator, and activist working to advance gender health equity. She is currently an NIHR Doctoral Research Fellow and DPhil student in Primary Health Care at the University of Oxford where she uses patient experiences to improve health service. Previously, she completed a BA from McGill University in Gender Studies and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge in Health, Medicine, and Society. In addition to her studies, Tori is the founder of Medical Herstory, an international not-for-profit organization on a mission to eliminate sexism, shame, and stigma from health experiences. Her work on feminist storytelling has been celebrated by organizations including UNWomen, CanWaCH, and the Harvard Public Health Review. She is the proud recipient of the McGill Scarlet Key Award and the University of Cambridge Vice-Chancellor Social Impact Award.
