Biography

I am a Senior Research Fellow in Health Services Research at the University of Sheffield, with a wide range of experience in evaluation, research and teaching. I am an applied researcher with a background in the creation and use of evidence to make a real difference for individuals and organisations.

I am Module Lead for Complex Evaluation Methods (Masters in Clinical Research), and convene a short course 'Real-World' Evaluation: Ten Key Principles for Evaluating Complex Health and Social Interventions.

As the Health Services Research representative for Innovation and Knowledge Transfer, I am active in consultancy work with a range of public, private and 3rd sector clients.

I have a diverse ongoing programme of research, development, evaluation and service-redesign, including the following:

-Implementing a programme of shared haemodialysis care (Health Foundation)
-Perfect Patient Pathway (PePPa) Test Bed (NHS England /Innovate UK)
-Enhanced Community Palliative Support Services (EnComPaSS): Pilot Evaluation, NHS England (Nursing Technology Fund & NIHR CLAHRC Y&H)
-The Effectiveness of Sexual Assault Referral Centres with regard to Mental Health and Substance Use: A National Mixed Method Study (NIHR, HS&DR)
-Evaluation of the Community Connectors Programme: SROI (British Red Cross)
