Sarah is an Anaesthetic Registrar in the North Central School of Anaesthesia in London.
She is interested in improving peri-operative patient experience and outcomes, working as part of a team on projects such as ‘Making the Elective Experience of Surgery Better’, the national programme PQIP (Peri-operative Quality Improvement Programme), and a local Pre-Operative Anaemia Optimisation Pathway.
In addition to developing and delivering educational courses including simulation, Sarah focuses on staff morale, believing that a more content and engaged workforce goes hand in hand with delivering excellent care and organisational effectiveness. She has therefore set up Buddy Schemes and is currently leading a project assessing and creating strategies to improve trainee wellbeing.
