I lead the CQC programme of work around equality and human rights. This covers both our equality and human rights strategy as an organisation and projects and programmes to advance equality and human rights in our regulatory work. In term of improvement, I have a particular interest in how using equality and human rights approaches can improve overall care quality. We have recently explored this with partners and outstanding providers  in our "Equally Outstanding" resource. I am also particularly  interested in the cultural aspects of quality improvement - particularly the links between fostering inclusive cultures in organisations and improvement work.

I have worked in a variety of organisations previously, including the Commission for Social Care Inspection, the voluntary sector and local government.
