Joanna Garrett is an experienced Paramedic and clinical and improvement lead with over ten years’ experience in the NHS. In her previous role she worked as part of an Ambulance Trust senior clinical leadership team to identify opportunities for service development and innovative practice. She led on the creation of integrated pathways which supported the Trust and wider health care economy in delivering high quality care in the right place, at the right time.
Joanna Garrett joined the West of England AHSN in 2017 to focus on improving patient safety and care across a system and has previously led on the delivery of the Deteriorating Patient project, which has now been adopted nationally. She now leads on the regional workplan of the national Maternity and Neonatal Safety Improvement programme across the West of England region.
