Previous to my role within Chiesi, I had worked within the NHS for 18 years (England) initially within a Clinical role (Neurophysiology), then managerial and through to my last role in the NHS as a Programme Manager in the Patient Safety Collaborate within the Innovation Agency (an Academic Health Science Network (AHSN).
I have always had an interest in quality improvement to ensure services are of the highest quality for patients and have undertaken academic qualifications to support my learning including, MSc Innovation and Improvement Science. I was also privileged to undertake an Improvement Science Fellowship with the Advancing Quality Alliance (AQuA). Having been a patient within the healthcare system myself, I also like to help highlight the importance of the patient voice and presented at the 2019 NHS TEDx conference (without a script several actors down).
