Dr G Kubra Kaya is a Lecturer at the Safety and Accident Investigation Centre at Cranfield University.

She holds degrees in Industrial Engineering (BEng) from Sakarya University, Systems Engineering Management (MSc) from University College London, and Engineering (PhD) from the University of Cambridge.

Prior to joining Cranfield University, Dr G Kubra Kaya worked as a Lecturer in Turkey, and she received the title of 'Associate Professor' in Industrial Engineering in 2022. Since 2022, she has been working at Cranfield University.

Dr G Kubra Kaya has experience in developing, applying and teaching safety engineering methods. Her particular areas of interest are system safety, ergonomics and risk assessment. She is a Registered Member of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors Society (C.Erg.HF). She is currently on the editorial board of the Ergonomics journal and an Associate Editor of Risk Management and Healthcare Policy Journal.
