Hi All,
In our training we do a section on outcome, process and balancing measures but often attendees still dont quite get it. Is anyone willing to share with me how they teach this section?
Thanks
Vic-
Hi Vic
I’d be happy to share with you our approach – maybe better to drop me an email (stuart.clough@lthtr.nhs.uk) so we can set up a brief chat etc?
-
Hi Stuart and Vic, great timing as I just delivered training on this yesterday and also felt it didn’t quite land very well. Do you mind if I also contact you?
Thanks,
Claire

Sorry, that’s me just getting these notifications now. Perhaps you wouldn’t mind sharing what you learned Vic? If you would like to catch up and have any availability in the next couple of weeks, let me know.
Thanks-
Hi Claire,

Hello everybody. I have been tasked with creating virtual QI training and I have been asked to utilise MS Teams. It seems that Zoom seems to be quite popular amongst members – is there a particular reason? Has anyone experience of using MS Teams to set up and deliver virtual training? As part of face to face QI training I would usually use a…Read more

Hi Donna, we’re starting to do quite a bit of virtual training. Our first level training is very much ‘presented’ with a moderator for the chat doing a lot of engagement. For our next level we’re using zoom, mainly because it’s easier to swap between who is presenting and between powerpoint/you tube etc. and the ability to have breakout rooms.…Read more

Hi Donnna, we have used Zoom for most of our delivery but lately have had to switch to Teams as this seems to be the platform of choice for most trusts. You can still use breakout rooms within teams by setting up new rooms. You can also use polls. We use Miro too which is a very interactive tool to use for demonstrating items such as process maps,…Read more

What platforms are people using to deliver training ie MS teams, Zoom etc?
-
Hi Vic, we’ve tried Skype for Business, MS Teams, Zoom and BigBlueButton. None is 100% perfect but so far BigBlueButton has been working quite well for in-house training because it sits alongside our organisation’s online learning platform. We are aiming to remain agnostic to platforms in order to remain flexible to meet differing needs and…Read more

Thanks our Trust support MS Teams so I think that will end up being our choice

Hi Vic we are using MS Teams and exploring channels used as breakout rooms. I think with choice, Zoom is a more streamlined and user friendly solution but it depends what accessibility you have within your trust/organisation. There are Teams updates in the pipeline which may balance this out a little better.

Thanks our Trust support MS Teams so I think that will end up being our choice

We have to use MS teams or Google classroom. There is no perfect platform- Zoom seems better but we can’t access it on work machines.

Hi Vic, we are using MS teams and Zoom but also using Miro as an interactive and engaging tool to demonstrate and use QI tools with groups. the feedback we have received thus far has been positive as a way of learning and interacting in groups together.
-
Thanks i’ll look in to Miro we are looking for platforms to use that are interactive. We have looked at Klaxoon but need to try that out within the team before we put it in to the training

Happy to show and demonstrate some of what we’ve produced and delivered if it would help

That would be amazing if you don’t mind
