Surgery Hero is a digital perioperative clinic, focused on prehabilitation (preparing patients before their operation) and post-operative support (after their operation). We offer human care, which is tech enabled. All members that come through the Surgery Hero app will have access to:

• 1:1 Health Coach - This is a human health coach and full time employee of Surgery Hero. Their role is to guide each member through their personalised surgery programme and ensure they feel empowered and supported throughout. Members are encouraged to have a minimum of one video call / phone call with their coach per week (this is not set in stone and is tailored to each individual).
• In App Content - The app is tailored to each individual depending on their surgery type and personal lifestyle behaviours. Content includes audio-visual information and educational videos.
• Personal Health Metrics - Depending on the goals the individual has set, they are able to work with their health coach to pull up their metrics and see where they are progressing/struggling i.e. weight loss, smoking cessation, stress reduction.
• Live Learning Sessions - Members have access to our bi-weekly zoom sessions. These are coach led and focus on different topics known to impact surgical outcomes i.e. perioperative nutrition. The sessions are highly interactive and members talk amongst themselves and share their experiences.
• SMS Chat - Members can speak with their health coach at any point from Monday to Friday 9-5 through the app.

Recent Outcomes (Cheshire and Merseyside ICS, we are supporting 1000 patients from intermediate to major grade surgery):
