Biography

Charlotte Director of Strategy for Mid & South Essex NHS FT. Her role encompasses strategy and service development, strategic intelligence and population health, partnership across the Health and Care Partnership, innovation, improvement and leadership.

Charlotte  is also an Action Learning Set Facilitator and mentor for the NHS Leadership Academy and Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management, and University of London Business School. She sits as an NHS Expert Commentator on the NIHR Health Services and Delivery Research Programme, is a mentor for the NHS Clinical Entrepreneurs Programme and assessor for the NHS Innovation Accelerator and Digital Health. London.

Charlotte joined Mid and South Essex  in August 2017 from UCLPartners Academic Health Science Partnership where she was Chief of Staff and Director for Population Health & Place-Based Care, working across discovery science, clinical research, innovation into practice and population health improvement. Whilst at UCLPartners Charlotte supported the development of the NIHR CLAHRC North Thames and reaccreditation of the UCLPartners Academic Health Science Centre. Charlotte was previously the founding Executive Director of the London Cancer Integrated Cancer System, which drove major system change in the capital.

Charlotte was seconded to NHS England Strategy Group to help write the Next Steps on the Five Year forward View and set up the national New Care Models Programme. Charlotte has previously held senior operational roles in hospitals for 10 years and has experience of public health and acute commissioning. She has undertaken postgraduate study in the UK and New Zealand, with an initial background in biochemistry.
