Hi all, real great to see some of you at the session today! Thanks to Lyse and Ian for their skilful facilitation.
I’ve uploaded the slides and the Zoom chat here in ‘documents’ in case it’s useful for anyone who’d like to try out Myth Turning themselves within their organisation or with any groups they’re part of. There are some good debrief notes in the chat towards the end!
Please also give us your feedback on the session via this link: https://survey.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_42s3XgUuRFCwBWS. Always good to know what you enjoyed about the session and what could be improved.
See you next month on Thursday 7th Dec (structure + theme tbc). Register here: https://q.health.org.uk/event/q-liberating-structures-user-group-18/
I really enjoyed deconstructing the various myths we carry around in our heads together! Thanks so much to Lyse and Ian.
It was fun – as part of the Wild Tea [Mad Tea] warm-up in the chat – to see what people think Quality Improvement is:
“I think Quality Improvement is…
… about culture and how we approach change
… Often too much overthinking and systems
… The everyday work of making positive change
… Worth persevering for
… iterative and locally owned
… Continuous and necessary.
… A driver for living your values
… the best way to make changes if done in the right way
… different to different people
… should be at the heart of any transformational change
… central to promoting health equity
… the past, present and future
… Confusing…
… the new religion
… essential
… An approach that can be too technical…
… about an ongoing effort to improve care
… Everyone’s business
… deep thinking brought into tangible action
… a key methodology (when done properly) to make the changes the NHS (and wider systems) need
… a continuous process
It was a brilliant session. It is always best when you connect with people, learn a lot and have fun too! 🙂
Thanks Matthew for collating our thoughts around Quality Improvement here – the Wild Tea was so fast and furious, it was difficult to read all the comments but they make a great collection!
