Hi everyone! I’m Maria, just started working for Q as a Community Convener, supporting member activity in SIGs and beyond. And I live in Sheffield so thought I’d say hi here 🙂

I’m really curious to connect with you all, tune in to what’s happening in QI in the region, and explore if/how Q could support any of it. Eg. could we do a local event?

If anyone’s up for a virtual/in-person chat, I’d love to hear from you.

I met with Helen Crimlisk (who is not in this group I think?) for a walk the other day and it was lovely. Meeting Sarah Dew (also not in this group I think?) in a couple of weeks, she’s a new Q member who works for Yorkshire & Humber AHSN’s Innovation Hub.

If any ideas/needs emerges from those conversations I’ll share here and get your thoughts 🙂

Oh and I should also say that I’m new(ish) to Sheffield, lived in London for about 6 years and I’m Danish. My background is in community and events organising, not health, and I’m now very curious about how the two interact (community and health).

    Thanks for reading!

    • Hi! An in-person meetup in Yorkshire sounds fab! I’m Leeds based.

In terms of what I would like – I am trying to plan out an event with patients and the public about how we use health data for research, QI and clinical care. I think clinicians, patients, researchers need to get out of their silos and listen to the other groups 🙂 has anyone done anything similar/can you advise? Currently have no budget for this but it could be a Q Exchange project for next year maybe
