Carried out my first interview with a person who has lived experience of chronic pain. I’m still blown away occasionally when I hear a patients story because for such a long time I thought it was just me living like this. The amount of things a person tries from passive to active measures and the way a person tries to navigate the ‘system’ to try and get help is mind blowing. The more I hear these narratives the more linked I believe psychological issues help fuel the ‘pain’ Fire, be it anxiety, depression or other adverse events in their lives. My thanks to the guy I interviewed and when you hear and read his story you too will feel his pain and his determination to live a life, a values based life.
