Simple tips and ideas to recruit and retain volunteers

This tips sheet, created using the Liberating Structure, TRIZ, as part of a project with Volunteer Glasgow, is both a useful guide for anyone working with volunteers in health and care improvement as well as an example of Liberating Structures in action.

This tips sheet provides a useful guide for anyone working with volunteers in health and care improvement.

It was produced by COPE Scotland, thanks to support from Glasgow Wellbeing Fund.

The tips sheet was co-designed with members of the Referral Agency Partners Networking Group, under Volunteer Glasgow, using a Liberating Structures tool called TRIZ.

Rather than serving as a formal handbook, this resource is designed to assist organisations and groups working with volunteers in discussing and identifying areas for improvement with their staff and volunteers.

COPE Scotland is sincerely grateful to everyone who participated and contributed to this enriching co-production process. Through their collaborative efforts, we are better equipped to foster an environment where volunteering can thrive, benefiting individuals and the community alike.
