ITT: Q Visits programme

We are seeking the expertise and experience of three distinct specialisms to deliver our Q Visits programme. We are looking for one tender submission from an organisation or partnership that can fulfil all three specialisms. If you do not have the expertise in these skill sets, we would welcome one tender as a partnership (or consortia), with one leading contractor.

Since 2017, Q has offered members a Visits programme: a series of site visits to organisations across the UK to learn about a range of relevant topics. This successful and popular programme gives members the opportunity to learn first-hand from others involved in improvement across different professional sectors and apply the knowledge at their workplaces.

Over 2021/22 we ran a Q Visits prototype project, testing and iterating different approaches to the Visits format. We are now aiming to resume outsourced delivery of the Q Visits programme in a new and revised form. This will be guided by insights and learning from the prototype project and your experience whilst remaining responsive to evolving member needs, the strategic context within Q and the external context.

What will the future Visits programme look like?

The programme will need to reflect the shift in how we connect and learn following the pandemic. Virtual learning has created possibilities through removing geographical and resource barriers.

We are looking for you to deliver a Visits programme that uses the learnings and behavioural changes from the shift to digitised learning as well as offering an in-person experience that builds on the excellent reputation of the Visits programme.

How to apply

If you are interested in submitting a proposal, please read and complete the Project Specification and Response document, linked at the bottom of this page. Please ensure that you respond to all questions within your application.

You will also need to review the sample contract and complete the budget template, which can also be found below.

Eligibility criteria

Please note the below eligibility criteria which need to be met before completing the Project Specification and Response document:

  • You / your partnership have design expertise.
  • You / your partnership have improvement knowledge and expertise.
  • You / your partnership have virtual and in-person events / logistics expertise.
  • If submitting a tender with a partnership / consortia, there is one lead contractor.

Please note that in the event of bids from consortia, partnerships or any other groups of organisations, the Health Foundation will only enter into a contract with the lead organisation. The budget for this contract will need to include all costs, including those incurred by any of the member organisations of the group. The Health Foundation will not enter into separate contracts with different organisations for the same tender.
