Yvonne leads the development and quality assurance of the National Clinical Audit Programme. This centrally funded portfolio of around 30 national projects supports clinicians to measure and improve the care they deliver, and enables patients, healthcare commissioners and regulators to be informed about the quality of a wide range of healthcare services. Yvonne engages regularly with clinical and policy leads in NHS England and the Welsh Government, professional societies and patient groups to develop the specific improvement focus and key features of each audit.
Yvonne gained her medical degree from the University of Cambridge, and before joining HQIP she spent 16 years as an NHS doctor specialising first in paediatrics and then in Audiovestibular Medicine, qualifying as a consultant in 2010.
