Just a thought:
What is Process Intelligence?
Process Intelligence is the practice of gaining insights into an organization’s operations. It involves obtaining visibility into processes, collecting and analyzing relevant data, understanding how these processes function, and using this knowledge to identify areas for improvement. This approach enables data-driven decision-making, increased efficiency, and reduced operational challenges within an organization.Have you defined and documented your processes? If not you will be missing out. See: BS ISO 7101:2023 if you would like to know how to do it.
Thank you Thomas, very helpful indeed.
Process Illiteracy seems to be the starting point in many organisations, so there is a lot of room for improvement.

Thanks Mark. Do you know of any German hospitals that are implementing the standard? Yes ‘process’ is the starting point for the resolution of many important issues in the NHS. My next Q webinar will be all about ‘process’. No date fixed yet, maybe December/January.
Hi Thomas. Living in Switzerland I do not know much about the situation in Germany. Here I am working at the other end of the Health System, supporting mainly elderly patients and their relatives to cope with inefficient, sometimes inexistent cooperation between a multitude of players within the Health System. Therefore I do not have an overview who is actually implementing BS ISO 7101:2023 – but starting today I will try to find out.
However it became apparent, that the patient side is a good position to judge what proportion of all the good intentions, ideas and financial resources reaches the goal to improve the patients’ everyday-life. Today I am convinced that coordinated processes are a HI-IMPACT REMEDY.
Looking forward to the next Q webinar.
Hi Tom, a new word to me and guess this is related to process mining and our capabilities in data analytics?
That’s right Isabel and It’s so so important. First though, processes have to be understood, defined, documented, standardised, and managed. The NHS need to understand how to do this. It’s not the same as Lean! I’ll talk about some of this on my webinar on Wednesday and will be talking about how to do it on my following webinar in December/January. No date fixed yet.
